COLOR KINETICS TO UNVEIL ENTERTAINMENT-FOCUSED SYSTEMS AT PLASA
Boston, MA - September 8, 2006 - Color Kinetics Incorporated will demonstrate new lighting and control systems designed to meet the rigorous demands of entertainment and touring applications at the PLASA show in London, Sept. 10 - 13 (Stand E32).
For Stage and Set Environments
ColorBlast® 12 TR is the latest addition to the highly popular and growing ColorBlast line, which projects saturated, controllable color for wide-ranging entertainment applications. Designed specifically to withstand the taxing nature of stage and set environments, ColorBlast 12 TR features a replaceable lens, protective face cover, industry-standard XLR connectors, and a housing that easily accommodates various truss clamps.
For Controllable Points of White Light
eW™ Flex SLX is a versatile strand of 50 white LED nodes that utilize Chromasic®-based intelligence for individual control. The durable, flexible form factor allows for addressable points of white light to be installed across nearly any interior or exterior surface - walls, ceilings, floors, and three-dimensional sculptures and set pieces. It is also well suited for lighting tight alcove spaces and signage.
For Simple Yet Sophisticated Show Authoring and Control
iPlayer® 3 and ColorPlay® 3 are the next-generation release of Color Kinetics' flagship DMX control solution.
iPlayer 3 is a compact yet powerful hardware controller that stores and plays custom-authored or pre-programmed light shows. The new model can control up to two full DMX universes or 340 individual light addresses, and once uploaded, shows may be easily accessed for editing. It's equipped with an LCD interface that allows simple navigation between operating modes.
ColorPlay 3 is the authoring software component of the solution, which guides users through the basic steps of mapping the lights in a network, timeline creation, simulating light shows, and downloading shows to iPlayer 3.
The new version features a further simplified user interface, the ability to import pre-created maps, and the ability to layer show effects within the timeline. It also allows visual effect editing directly on the map. ColorPlay 3 is compatible with Windows XP or Mac OS X operating systems.
